PALEMBANG - The owners of oil and gas service companies from South Sumatra, PT Ginting Jaya Energi Tbk, Eddy Hidayat Lim and Jimmy Hidayat, have increased their share ownership in the company with the stock code WOWS. In a report submitted to the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), the President Commissioner of PT Ginting Jaya Energi. Tbk. Eddy Hidayat Lim and President Director Jimmy Hidayat each bought up 2 million shares. The purchase was carried out in two periods, namely on July 6, 2021 as many as 2 million pieces, followed by July 7 2021 as many as 2 million pieces. The purchase price is IDR 50 per share or a total value of IDR 200 million.


With this transaction, Eddy Hidayat Lim's share ownership became 38.69 million shares or 1.56 percent, an increase from the previous 1.49 percent.

 

Meanwhile, Jimmy Hidayat's share ownership was 11.17 million shares or 0.45 percent, up from 0.37 percent previously. Confirmed by Bisnis, Ginting Jaya Energi President Director Jimmy Hidayat said the purpose of the transaction was to increase the number of shareholdings with direct shareholding status. "The current national upstream oil and gas business climate is improving, along with rising world oil prices,"

 

It is known that the issuer of WOWS is a company that provides work over and well services for oil and gas wells in the country. Jimmy added that another positive sentiment for the upstream oil and gas industry is the price of crude oil (Indonesian Crude Price) which is currently valued at US$70.23 per barrel in June 2021.

 

"This price is also the highest price in the last three years," said Jimmy. According to the Special Task Force for Oil and Gas (SKK) notes, the current production cost per barrel has fallen to US$12.17 per BOE per semester I/2021. Meanwhile, on Friday's trading (23/7/2021), WOWS shares were stagnant at the level of Rp50. Its market capitalization is Rp. 123.79 billion.
